Mike is an advocate, educator, and catalyst in the realms of ecosystem restoration and protection, sustainability, individual empowerment, leadership development, and organizational learning. Mike has worked with individuals, organizations, and communities around the country to help them articulate their aspirations and realize their inherent ability and power to act in ways that transform the status quo and bring fruition to those aspirations.
After a career in business, Mike has spent the past 20 years working in the nonprofit sector for environmental conservation and education organizations. Mike holds a Master of Science degree in natural resources management, planning and policy from the University of Michigan. As a lifelong learner, Mike continues to deepen his understanding and practice of personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, living systems, organizational democracy, leadership, and civic engagement. Mike is currently employed at Auburn University where he is Director of the Office of Sustainability Operations.
